Delta Gamma Mourns the Loss of True Somer Anderson, Beta Chi-Denver
Our Delta Gamma hearts are heavy as we share the passing of True Somer Anderson, Beta Chi-Denver.
Initiated in 1950, True was a loyal and active member of Delta Gamma throughout her life. Fondly known as " Trueleen" in the Delta Gamma sisterhood, she was a dear friend and faithful sister. True’s Delta Gamma volunteer contributions began in 1972, and her Leadership roles within the Fraternity are many, serving as: Province Alumnae Chair (1972-75), Fraternity Council Trustee: Alumnae (1982-84), Nominating Committee (2004-06) and serving locally with the Denver alumnae chapter.
In 1985, True was honored with the Delta Gamma Cable Award. In 2011, she was honored with the Delta Gamma Loyalty Award.
“True made such a great impact in Delta Gamma throughout her lifelong membership,” shares Delta Gamma Fraternity Executive Director Tracey Doebling Williams, Beta Sigma-Maryland. “Our sisterhood is forever thankful for not only her dedication, but also her unwavering friendship.”
Delta Gamma sends our sincere condolences to True’s family. You can view her obituary and service information here.
